The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks have a trio of ranked wrestlers with the first half of the season behind us.

Senior Cael Garvey is atop the class 2A poll at 195lbs according to IAwrestle.com. He has accumulated a 15-2 record to this point in the season, including a tournament championship at Mid-Prairie’s Colton Allen Invitational December 11th and runner-up finishes at the Jeremy Fulk Classic in New London and the Saber Invitational in DeWitt.

Senior Bronwyn Brenneman appears in the girls poll from IAwrestle.com at No. 10 in the 126lb weight class. She is unbeaten this year at 7-0 with individual titles at her home Mid-Prairie tournament December 13th and the Wilton tournament December 18th.

Senior Gannon Callahan is listed at No. 12 at 285lbs according to IAwrestle. He has not been on the mat yet this year due to an injury suffered during football season.

Brenneman will open up the second half of the season first when the Golden Hawk girls wrestle at the Anamosa girls tournament January 3rd and the Highland girls tournament January 7th. Garvey will be back in action January 8th at the Gary Curtis Invitational at Highland High School.
