Plenty of area small class wrestling teams were represented in the latest IAWrestle.com high school rankings at the halfway point of the year. 

Sigourney-Keota is a perfect 13-0 in duals and consequently has four grapplers in the rankings for their weight class. Jack Clarahan only lost once in the first half of the season and is sixth in class 1A at 170 lbs, Cade Streigle is sixth at 195 lbs, Cade Molyneux is ninth at 160 lbs, and Conner Reed is 11th at 220 lbs. Highland’s Easton Schlabaugh has done some serious work at 113 lbs and is ranked third. Jonah Clark represents WACO in the polls being ranked eighth at 220 lbs. In Class 2A, Columbus Community/Winfield-Mt. Union’s Lane Scorpil has stayed steady at 120 lbs being ranked second. 

Teams will get back on the mat next week and the postseason starting with sectionals commences on February 5th.
