Agencies responded to a single vehicle incident north of Ainsworth Monday morning.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office states at about 7:09 a.m. Larry West of West Chester was driving a Chevy S-10 pickup truck southbound in the 2300 block of Vine Avenue when the truck left the roadway and came to rest in a small creek in a field west of the road. Washington County Ambulance Service transported one person to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Cause of the incident remains under investigation. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Ainsworth Fire and QRS, Washington County Rescue, Iowa State Patrol, and Moore’s Towing also responded to the scene.
