Three duals, three wins for the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team Thursday as they turned a long bus ride to Bellevue for a River Valley Conference quad meet into a business trip.
The Golden Hawks stormed by Camanche 54-24. Mid-Prairie had wins in contested matches from Dom Shively at 160lbs by fall, Jarron Thomas at 182lbs by fall, Cael Garvey at 195lbs by fall, Terry Bordenave at 220lbs by fall and Gannon Callahan at 285lbs by fall.
The Hawks crushed the Comets on their home mat 60-18. Wins in contested matches came from Tucker Miller at 126lbs by fall, Landry Gingerich at 132lbs by fall, Kaden Meader at 170lbs by fall, and Cael Garvey at 195lbs by fall.
Mid-Prairie shut out Northeast Goose Lake 78-0. The Hawks had wins in contested matches from Mose Yoder at 113lbs by fall, Evan Phillips at 152lbs by fall, Dom Shively at 160lbs by fall, Jarron Thomas at 182lbs by fall, Cael Garvey at 195lbs by fall, Terry Bordenave at 220lbs by fall and Gannon Callahan at 285lbs by fall.
The night runs Mid-Prairie’s dual record to 7-6 on the year as they get ready for the Gary Curtis Invitational at Highland this weekend.
