A Washington man faces child endangerment and drug possession charges after law enforcement was dispatched to his residence Wednesday.
Court documents show the Washington Police Department was called to the 700 block of West Madison Street at about 5:40 p.m. for a two-year-old child that was not acting right. An officer spoke with the child’s mother and it was determined that the child and her two year-old brother had been in 48-year-old Charles Albert Miller’s room and the brother was seen possessing a methamphetamine pipe which Miller admitted belonged to him. One of the children was transported by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A review of Miller’s criminal history showed he had at least two prior drug convictions. He was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, a class D felony, child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. No bond has been set for Miller. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
