It was a successful day at the office for the Washington boys’ bowling team on Thursday when they made the short trip to Iris Bowling Center in Mount Pleasant and the Demons edged out their Southeast Conference rival in the Panthers.
Washington finished with a two-game series score of 2,593 pins to beat out Mount Pleasant’s 2,523. Ethan Zieglowsky blew out the entire competition by 73 pins to place first with a two-game score of 446 including a 241 high game. Other Demon finishes included Quentin Howard fifth with 335 pins, Caleb Zieglowsky sixth with 333, Cole Anderson ninth with 291, Cashden Pepper 10th with 281, and Ismat Abdurahimov 12th with 251. Washington won the baker game count 907-846.
The Washington girls had four less bowlers than Mount Pleasant and lost by a final count of 2,249 to 557. Leigha Heisdorffer was fifth with 249 pins and Emma Loeffler was eighth with 141.
