Saturday, arrows were flying throughout the Demon Den as Washington hosted their “Shoot for a Cure” archery event. The Demons protected their home gym with a big showing, sweeping the bullseye and 3D team championships in all age groups, six titles in total. In bullseye action, the high school Demons shot 3,271, led by individual boys runner-up Jonathan Moore with his 287 including 20 tens. Allison Rees was female runner-up with a 277 including 11 tens. The Demon middle schoolers won their title with a 3,142. They were led by Blake Sheetz in third overall with a 272 including 12 tens. Top middle school girl was Ryan Pepper, who took the individual title with a 270 including 13 tens. The Lincoln Demons finished with a team score of 2,699. Jordan Thorius won the boys individual title with a 247 including eight tens. Miriam Pierce was the top scoring girl for the Demon elementary shooters with a 237 including seven tens, taking sixth.

In 3D shooting, the Washington High Schoolers won the title with a 1,612 led by boys champ Jonathan Moore with a 290 including 21 tens. Allison Rees brought home the girls title with a 274 including 15 tens. the Demon middle schoolers were team champs with their 1,531 led by boys champion Blake Sheetz at 275 including 15 tens and girls champ Hannah Lipski at 255 with seven tens. The Lincoln shooters were the team winners with a 1,053 score led by champion Tennison Montgomery at 137 with three tens.

The Mid-Prairie high schoolers were third in the bullseye shoot with their score of 3,077. Zane Fisher was the top Hawk with a 276 including 13 tens, taking fifth overall. Zoe Fisher was the top girls scorer with a 273 including nine tens, taking sixth individually. The Golden Hawk middle schoolers were second with a 2,835 led by individual boys champ Elijah Statler with a 277 including 14 tens. Top girls score came from Averi Janecek at 234 with five tens for 13th place. The elementary Hawks shot 2,599 for a second place team finish led by Gavin Luers with a 244 including three tens to finish as boys runner-up. Kaitlyn Burnham with a 222 including three tens placed third in the girls contest individually.

In 3D action for the Hawks, the high schoolers shot 1,536 to take second place. Zane Fisher was individual boys runner-up with a 276 including 12 tens. Paytin Swartzentruber was runner-up individually with her 272 with 11 tens. The middle school team was second with a 1,383. Top performers included Tommy Miller who was boys runner-up with a 266 including 11 tens and Fiona McClellen was eighth individually on the girls side with her 210 including three tens.
