Welcoming Wapello to Columbus Junction resulted in a pair of losses for the Wildcat basketball teams on Tuesday with the Indians and Arrows sweeping a Southeast Iowa Super Conference doubleheader.

A 16-2 run to start the game for the Arrow girls (7-6) set the tone for a 40-20 victory over the Wildcats. Columbus was out rebounded 30-17 and was minus 12 in the turnover margin. Sera Vela recorded seven points, Lily Coil had five boards, and Libby White managed five steals. Columbus drops to 2-11 overall and 1-9 in the SEISC. The Indian boys (7-6) had a methodical 53-36 win where they led 23-18 at half before stretching the lead out to 13 by the end of three and they finished with the 17-point victory. The blue and white drop to 3-9 and 3-6 in the league. 

Both Wildcat teams return to action tonight hosting Sigourney.
