The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team travels to Cascade tonight to take on a trio of River Valley North Schools in Anamosa, North Cedar and the Cougars. The Golden Hawks have a 9-7 dual record this year and have won five of their last six after a 2-1 Senior Night Tuesday in Wellman where they posted victories against North Linn and Northeast Goose Lake. Mid-Prairie has two ranked wrestlers in their lineup with Cael Garvey No. 2 at 195lbs and Gannon Callahan No. 12 at 285lbs in class 2A according to IAwrestle.com.

The North Cedar Knights are 0-7 on the dual season after dropping contests to West Liberty and Monticello last Thursday. They do not have any ranked wrestlers in their lineup. Mid-Prairie beat North Cedar 63-18 a season ago.

Anamosa is 10-12 this year with their last dual action coming last Thursday where they beat West Branch but lost to Iowa City Regina and Wilton in a River Valley quad. The Raiders have one ranked wrestler in their lineup with Austin Scranton at No. 8 in class 2A at 152lbs. The Hawks won this matchup last year 45-27.

Cascade is 11-11 in duals this season, splitting an RVC tri a week ago with a win over Durant and a loss to Tipton. The Cougars have two ranked wrestlers in their lineup with Trever Freiburger No. 8 at 132lbs and Brock Morris No. 6 at 106lbs. The Golden Hawks got the win against the Cougars last year 43-42 on criteria. Action starts tonight at 5:30 at Cascade High School.
