Area wrestling teams were getting it done in Packwood on Thursday with WACO sweeping all four of their duals and Columbus Community/Winfield-Mt. Union going 3-1. 

The Warriors went 12-17 in contested matches, but was the beneficiary of several forfeit points and won all four duals including Cardinal 72-12, Van Buren 42-39, Pekin 63-15, and the Wildcats 37-34. Three individuals picked up multiple contested match victories including Louden Huisenga by fall and 8-4 decision at 145 lbs, Drew Diers by fall and 6-3 decision at 195 lbs, and Jonah Clark by a pair of pins at 285 lbs. 

Despite falling to the Warriors, the Wildcats still won seven of 11 contested matches in that dual and went 17-9 altogether. They defeated Cardinal 72-12, Pekin 54-12, and Van Buren 42-33. Four wrestlers picked up three contested match victories including Lane Scorpil at 126 lbs by three pins, Triston Miller at 132 lbs by three falls, Ethan Palmer at 182 lbs by a pair of pins and an 8-6 decision, and Russell Coil at 285 lbs by two falls and a 5-0 decision victory. 

WACO improves the dual record to 15-6 and Columbus Community/WMU moves to 8-10.
