The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved acknowledgment of a secondary roads purchase Tuesday.

County Engineer Jacob Thorius presented the item for a new motor grader that will be purchased after July 1st, with an estimated delivery for September. Thorius says he intends to sell the motor grader being replaced at an auction, and the new motor grader is included in the department’s fiscal year 2023 budget. The board approved acknowledgment.

In other business Tuesday, the board and Human Resources Director Amber Armbruster held a biannual recognition of years of service from county employees. A total of 90 years was recognized: 45 years in information technology from Cyndie Sinn, 25 years in secondary roads from Tim Brinning, and 20 years in communications from Melanie Huschka.
