The Washington City Council will consider filling their upcoming Ward 1 councilor vacancy by appointment or a special election during a special meeting Tuesday.
The meeting will also include a public hearing followed by possible action on a resolution of necessity for an East Adams Street improvement project, and setting a public hearing for February 15th on the plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost for the project. The council will also consider a resolution endorsing a downtown investment grant agreement with DW Developments for 111 North Marion Avenue, setting a public hearing for February 15th for the total maximum property tax dollars levied for the fiscal year 2023 budget, and hold a workshop on the budget.
The council meets at 6 p.m. in the city hall council chambers.
