Reed Leads SK Grapplers at North Tama, Savages Beat Panthers Monday

While Reanah Utterback was taking names on Saturday at the girls state meet, the rest of the Sigourney-Keota wrestling team was doing some damage in Traer at the North Tama Invite. 

The Savages did not post a team score, but had one individual crowned champion in Conner Reed at 220 lbs. The senior went a perfect five for five with all wins coming by fall. Runner-up finishes included DJ Hammes at 132 lbs, Cade Molyneux at 160 lbs, Jack Clarahan at 170 lbs, and Aidan Schuster at 182 lbs. 

SK turned around for a single dual on Monday at Packwood and the Savages beat up on their rival Pekin 60-3. They came out on top in five of six contested matches with wins coming from Jake Moore at 145 lbs (fall 1:36), Evan Dawson at 152 lbs (8-6 decision), Molyneux at 160 lbs (fall :57), Clarahan at 170 lbs (11-7 decision), and Schuster at 182 lbs (fall 4:50). The Savages push their undefeated dual record to 23-0 on the season.
