The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved pay increases and longevity bonuses for public health staff at their meeting Tuesday.
This action followed the county board of health’s approval of the longevity bonuses and wage matrix for employees during a special meeting last week. Supervisor and Board of Health member Jack Seward Jr. commented that he would be voting against the longevity increases taking effect during the current fiscal year rather than next fiscal year as he also voted against this at last week’s Board of Health meeting. These longevity increases are to be awarded on the employee’s anniversary date with $500 for five to 10 years of experience, $1,000 for 11 to 15 years, $1,500 for 16-20 years, and $2,000 for 21 years and beyond. The supervisors approved these increases for Jessica Janecek, Bonnie Lins, Diane Waldschmidt, and Megan Waterhouse which will take effect on their anniversary dates between now and July 1st. They also approved pay rate increases for 12 public health staff members that take effect this Thursday.
