A Brighton man has been ordered to continue his probation on felony cases for theft and possession of a controlled substance.
Forty-one year-old Brett Allen Wulf was arrested earlier this month for violating his probation on cases for original convictions of possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense, second-degree theft, and third-degree burglary, all class D felonies. Court documents show that the court then ordered that his suspended 15-year prison sentence and five years of probation granted in October of 2019 shall not be revoked, dependent on a successful completion of substance abuse treatment at Retrograde Treatment in Kalona. Until space becomes available at the facility he shall remain in custody at the Washington County Jail. Wulf is also ordered to pay Category B restitution in full. Wulf’s original charges stemmed from February 2019 incidents, and this was his second probation violation conviction on these cases. He was arrested less than a month after he was successfully discharged from probation for another theft case.
