It is Washington County Rivalry Monday with the Washington girls welcoming Mid-Prairie this evening for a non-conference bout. 

The host Demons come into tonight’s contest with a 3-13 overall mark, but  they are riding their first win streak of the season having beat Ottumwa last Monday and Burlington 49-9 on Friday. Lauren Hinrichsen led the way with 18 points in the win and Alex Murphy leads the team on the season with 6.6 points a night. Mid-Prairie is 12-6 and had a hard fought 52-45 victory over Bellevue on Friday. Maddie Nonnenmann puts up 16.6 points and 5.2 rebounds a game to lead a team that averages 48 points a contest. The Golden Hawks have won six of the last seven meetings including a 52-25 victory last winter.
