Mediapolis was the site Saturday for the Southeast Iowa Superconference Championship wrestling meet. The top team finish from the KCII listening area came from the Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union Wildcats in the runner-up spot with 144 points. Burlington Notre Dame won the team title going away with 249 and a half points. The Wildcats had two individual champions with Lane Scorpil winning the championship at 120lbs by 7-0 major decision over Kayden Dietzenbach of Notre Dame and Russel Coil claiming gold at 285lbs by fall over Spencer Kessel from rival Louisa-Muscatine. Other top finishes for the Wildcats included Ty Scorpil runner-up at 113lbs, Kai Malone runner-up at 220lbs and Markel Zapiensz third at 195lbs.

The WACO Warriors were fourth on the weekend with their team total of 135 and a half points. Jonah Clark was a Superconference champion for the Warriors at 220lbs with his title match win over Kai Malone of Columbus by tech fall. Other top finishes for the Warriors included Gage Samo runner-up at 106lbs, Louden Huisenga runner-up at 145lbs, Larz Smith third at 132lbs and Kris Boone third at 170lbs.

Highland was ninth in the 12 team race with 65 points. Top finish for the Huskies was Carlos Valenzuela as runner-up at 132lbs. Easton Schlabaugh at 113lbs and Jack Peiffer at 126lbs both finished third.

Lone Tree was 12th in the team standings with Remington Fields and Brody Magruder both competing.
