A Keota man was recently arrested on charges related to a two-vehicle wreck that injured three people in Washington County last December.
The Washington County Communications Center was notified last week by the Iowa State Patrol on charges being filed on 39-year-old Joshua Jeffrey Pappas for speeding, open container, violation of conditions of a restricted license, driving while license is denied or revoked, two counts of serious injury by accident, failure to obey a stop sign, and failure to yield.
At 3:51 p.m. December 6th, Pappas was driving a Dodge Durango westbound on County Road G26 or 190th Street toward Highway 1, where 44-year-old Jill Marie Hebert of Fairfield was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe northbound. Pappas failed to stop at the stop-sign intersection and collided with the passenger side of Hebert’s vehicle. Both vehicles came to rest in a farm field in the northwest corner of the intersection. Three people were treated for injuries sustained at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
