It is go-time for all wrestlers in the state of Iowa with the postseason starting today and plenty of class 1A grapplers gear up for sectionals. 

Sigourney-Keota will host a sectional that also features Cardinal, Mediapolis, Moravia, New London, North Mahaska, Pekin, and Van Buren. The Savages are ranked 12th in the latest IWCOA dual team rankings after a perfect 23-0 regular season. Five individuals are ranked in the latest IAwrestle.com poll with Reanah Utterback sixth at 106 lbs, Jack Clarahan ninth at 170 lbs, Aidan Schuster eighth at 182 lbs, Cade Streigle seventh at 195 lbs, and Conner Reed 11th at 220 lbs. 

WACO, Highland, and Lone Tree will all head to English Valleys in a sectional that also has Lisbon, Louisa-Muscatine, Regina, Wapello, and the host Bears competing. The Warriors have a pair of grapplers ranked with Louden Huisenga ninth at 145 lbs and Jonah Clark fifth at 220 lbs. 

All sectionals will get started at noon today. The top two from each weight class at each location will advance to next Saturday’s districts in Wapello. Furthermore, all team sectional champs will automatically advance to Tuesday’s regional duals with the next eight highest ranked teams also receiving a bid.
