One Washington resident was arrested and another has a pending charge following a traffic stop early Friday morning.

The Washington Police Department states at 1:05 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of East 2nd Street and North 10th Avenue, and two Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies and a second officer also responded. Twenty-year-old Guadalupe Heidi Yuliana Sahagun was arrested for driving under the influence, first offense. Two written warnings were issued to Sahagun for improper lamps and no proof of insurance. Sahagun and 26-year-old Amado Marcelino have charges pending lab results for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
