A Washington man who was convicted in 2007 of sexual abuse in Johnson County was arrested Thursday for parole violation.
The Washington County Communications Center states at 8:30 a.m. the Washington Police Department arrested 51-year-old Christopher James Beardshear on a $20,000 cash or surety bond. Court documents show that Beardshear was charged on December 29, 2021 in Henry County with operating while intoxicated third or subsequent offense, a class D felony, and possession of a controlled substance. Beardshear’s parole officer stated that he has several additional drinking violations and quit his job. She recommends Beardshear’s parole be revoked for him to be sent to prison. He was convicted of third-degree criminal mischief in Washington County last May with a charge dismissed for second-degree burglary, a class C felony.
