A slow start doomed the Columbus boys basketball team Tuesday at Mediapolis as they fell 56-23. The Bulldogs rolled out of the gate to a 19-3 run that spanned the entire first frame and led 36-10 at half. The third quarter was again controlled by MEPO with a 19-7 run that lasted the entire period. Columbus struggled on both ends of the floor, shooting 24% from the field, with just 21 rebounds and 17 turnovers. Marco Martinez led the Wildcats with five points. The loss leaves Columbus at 4-17 entering the playoffs, Mediapolis improves to 15-6.
