It was a confidence boosting night for the Lone Tree boys’ basketball team on Monday when they picked up a non-conference win over English Valleys 50-46.
The Bears (11-10) had a 30 point outing from senior star Kaden Hall, but it was not enough to hold the Lions off. Lone Tree trailed 13-10 after one, 19-18 at intermission, and 34-33 at the end of three, but a 17-12 close in the fourth allowed them to pick up the victory. The Lions turned it over just six times and out rebounded their opponent 41-29. Cade Patterson led a balanced attack with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Adam Knock, Cade Shield, and Tyler Bell all recorded nine points while Drew Gauley added eight off the bench. The black and gold improved to 6-15 on the season.
