The Mid-Prairie archery teams had a busy road trip Saturday, competing at the Springville Oriole Invitational. In the bullseye contest, the Golden Hawk high schoolers didn’t post a team score. Individually, they were led by Camden Miller’s 268 with nine tens, finishing 47th in the boys contest. Top high school girls shooter was Paityn Jennings in 55th with a 259 that included eight tens. At the 3D level, the Mid-Prairie high school team was sixth of six teams with a 1375. Anamosa won the team title with a 1680. Paityn Swartzentruber led the Golden Hawk girls taking 16th overall with a 262 that included six tens. Milo Sieren was the top Golden Hawk boy at 27th with a 245 that included three tens.

In the middle school contest, Mid-Prairie was 10th of 11 schools in the bullseye shoot with their score of 2758. The team title went to Cedar Rapids Prairie with their 3165. Elijah Statler led the Golden Hawk boys with a 272 that included eight tens, to take 17th overall. Averi Janecek took the top girls spot for the Hawks, finishing 47th with a 241 that included four tens. In the 3D competition, the middle school team was fifth with a score of 1408. Springville won their home tournament with a 1541. Statler also led the way for the middle school Hawks in the 3D shoot with a 266 that included nine tens to take sixth overall. Sophia Puttmann posted the top girls 3D score at that level with a 255 that included four tens to take fifth overall.

The Golden Hawk elementary archers did not post a team score in the 3D or bullseye shoots, but were led individually in bullseye by Preston Ford as the top boy with a 252 that included six tens for third overall. Mya Brenneman was the top elementary bullseye girl with a 227 that included two tens to take 10th overall. Elementary 3D was also led by Ford on the boys side taking third overall with a 226 that included seven tens.
