The Riverside City Council is entering the final stages of preparation for their 3rd Street project.
During their regular meeting Monday, the council set a date for a public hearing at 6 p.m. on February 22nd to approve the plans, specifications, form of contract and estimated costs for the project. The council held a previous public hearing on February 2nd. This hearing will provide residents another opportunity to ask questions and get further details. City Clerk Becky LaRoche says the council has decided to take on the smaller projects along 2nd, Washburn, Greene and Rose streets. The work will include elevation on 3rd Street for storm sewer and water services, the addition of a retaining wall and removal of trees among other improvements. LaRoche says that the total cost for all of the projects came in at $3.3 million and they hope to have all the work completed by the end of 2022.
