With at least a share of the Southeast Conference crown already secured for the Washington boys, the Demons will try to snatch it all for themselves tonight when they welcome Keokuk for the conference finale.
Washington sits at 16-3 overall and 8-1 in the SEC. They ran into Williamsburg on a bad night on Monday where the Raiders shot 13 of 22 from long range to upend the Demons 83-73. Washington still poured in 11 treys of their own including eight from Ethan Patterson. They are currently sixth in class 3A with a 35.6 three point percentage and first in free throws made with 252 at a 69% clip. Patterson is sitting at 17.9 points a game, Kasen Bailey at 15.4, and Lucas Kroll is at 11.2. Keokuk is 4-14 overall and winless in the conference at 0-9. The first meeting in January was a 65-49 Washington win, but it was a single digit game heading into the fourth. The team puts up just 38 points a night with MJ Davis accounting for 13.3 of them.
A win for the orange and black would clinch the outright title while a loss would open the door for the winner of Burlington and Fort Madison to receive a piece of the pie. The action gets started at 7:30 p.m. tonight and listen to the live play-by-play on FM 106.1 KCII.
