An Ottwuma man who was convicted in Jefferson and Wapello counties has gone missing after failing to report back to the Ottumwa Residential Facility.

According to the Iowa Department of Corrections, 24-year-old Marquis Bedford was admitted to the work release facility in October of 2021. Bedford is convicted of willful injury causing serious injury and manufacturing, delivering, conspiracy or possession with intent to deliver less than five grams of methamphetamine, both class C felonies. He failed to report back to the facility as required Wednesday. Bedford is a Black male, height 5’ 11’’, and weighs 198 pounds. Anyone with information on Bedford’s whereabouts should contact their local police department.
