Four people were injured in a single vehicle rollover southeast of Washington early Sunday morning.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office states at about 2:24 a.m. the Washington County Communications Center received a call for a rollover at 285th Street and Palm Avenue. It was determined that John Miller of rural Washington County was traveling westbound on 285th when he lost control going into the ditch and rested facing eastbound. A press release from Washington County Ambulance Service states that some of the vehicle occupants were extricated, and two people were transported by the ambulance service to Washington County Hospital and Clinics. One person was transported by AirCare to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The vehicle was considered totaled and traffic was blocked from the area for over an hour while crews were on site. Citations were issued for reckless driving and no seatbelt. Washington fire and police departments and Washington County Rescue also assisted at the scene.
