The WACO Warrior girls’ basketball team recently had three players receive postseason recognition being named to the Southeast Iowa Super Conference all conference teams.
Ellah Kissell was one of three unanimous selections for the first team in the south division. The 5’10’’ do-it-all junior finished second in the south with 415 points, fifth in rebounds with 148, first in blocks with 27, and third in steals with 78. She collected 18 points a night this winter and hauled in 6.4 boards. Kissell currently sits at 874 points throughout her three year varsity career and has 346 rebounds. Grace Coble and Katie Leichty were named honorable mention selections. Coble finished with 8.2 points a game while shooting at a 41% clip and brought in 6.2 rebounds. Leichty led the team with 6.8 boards an outing, 5.3 points, and had 26 total steals.
WACO finished the season with a 10-13 record, their most wins since 2018.
