Three were injured in a three-vehicle incident in Henry County early Friday morning.

Iowa State Patrol states at about 1:26 a.m. 34-year-old Heather A. Brown of Fairfield was driving a Hyundai Elantra in the wrong direction in the east bound lane of Highway 34 near mile marker 226 when she struck a Ford F350 driven by 55-year-old Alan W. Frederick of Ottumwa. Brown’s vehicle then made contact with a Ram 1500 driven by 75-year-old Edward B Grade of Ottumwa. Brown was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported by Medforce 2 and Grade was transported by AirCare to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Frederick was transported by Henry County EMS to the Henry County Health Center. The incident remains under investigation. Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Mount Pleasant agencies also responded.
