The South Iowa Cedar League girls’ basketball all conference teams were recently released with three Sigourney players on the list.
Carly Goodwin had the top Sigourney selection being named to the second team. The sophomore led the black and gold in scoring with 10.2 points a game and hauling in 4.1 rebounds. She finished fifth in the conference in blocks with 21, dished out 39 assists, and created 48 steals. Josephine Moore and Rain Barthelman were recognized as honorable mention. Moore was a steady force in her freshman campaign with 8.7 points and 7.1 boards a night while shooting 42% from the floor. Barthelman topped the league with a 42% three point efficiency, finished third in assists with 82, recorded 38 steals, and scored 5.5 points a contest.
Sigourney finished the winter 12-12 and seventh in the SICL with an 8-8 league record.
