A four-sport athlete at Washington High is off the recruiting board with Ethan Zieglowsky signing his letter of intent last week to bowl at William Penn University.
The senior will make his new home in Oskaloosa next year and joins a Statesmen program that has been in the top two of the Heart of America Conference each of the last two seasons. Zieglowsky thinks it will be a great fit for him. “They have done a lot of good things the last couple years and I know a lot of people that go there. The team environment seems great, I like bowling at their bowling alley, and the coach is a cool guy. I plan on having a lot of fun.” The Washington standout is fresh off of becoming the first Demon boys’ bowler in program history to qualify for the state tournament. He was runner-up at a state qualifier in Camanche with a 634 three-game series and then placed 16th at the class 1A state meet in Waterloo with a 637.
Zieglowsky plans to major in environmental studies with hopes of becoming a state conservation officer.
