The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys basketball team ended their season Tuesday in the quarterfinal round of the class 2A state basketball tournament at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The No. 2 ranked Golden Hawks were beaten by No. 7 Monticello 46-43. Mid-Prairie ends their season with a 24-1 overall record. Monticello is 22-3 and advances to the state semifinals on Thursday to play Rock Valley. The other semifinal features Pella Christian meeting Central Lyon.
