A Columbus Junction man was recently arrested for an alleged burglary incident in Ainsworth.
The criminal complaint shows 59-year-old Kevin Lee Harrison is charged with first-degree burglary, a class B felony. It alleges that at about 6 p.m. on February 4th, Harrison forced his way into the victim’s residence in the 3000 block of 190th Street. He allegedly punched the victim several times and hit them with kitchen bar stools while the victim was on the ground. A female that arrived with Harrison got in between them to stop him from continuing to assault the victim as she saw he was bleeding all over. Harrison and the female left the residence, and the victim sustained serious injuries such as lacerations to the face and head. Blood was found on the walls and floor of the residence. Follow-up interviews were conducted during which Harrison claimed he did not enter the house. The female disputed him and provided her sweatshirt to law enforcement which had a blood stain. Harrison turned himself in Monday on an arrest warrant with a $100,000 cash-only bond. The criminal complaint also stated that he is on federal probation for conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
