The Columbus Junction Police Department is investigating a string of thefts from vehicles in the city. According to reports, the thefts are believed to have happened in the evening hours of February 27th and were reported March 1st. Items that were stolen included gym bags, clothes and tools. Four of the five affected vehicles were left unlocked. Columbus Junction Police Chief Donnie Orr says that they do not have any leads in the crimes as of now, but residents should lock vehicles and avoid leaving valuables inside.
