The Washington Public Library has several upcoming events to have youth building, experimenting, and creating art this March.

The first is a new LEGO Club that will meet every Monday from March 14th through May 23rd from 4-5 p.m. in the Nicola-Stoufer Room. No registration is required and the club is open to those in kindergarten through fifth grade. Library Director Cary Ann Siegfried shares another weekly program that will begin on Tuesday, March 22nd, “Every week we’ll be doing a ‘Tinker Tuesday’ event from 4-5. It’ll be an hour of hands-on activities that include some science experiments, some artwork and other ideas to just drop in and tinker with during that time.”

Tinker Tuesdays will last through April 26th and are open for those in kindergarten through fifth grade with no registration required. The whole family can come to the library Saturday, March 26th at 10:30 a.m. to make their own “mini masterpiece.” Art supplies and mini canvases will be provided and participants’ works of art will be displayed in the library the month of April. Registration is required and those in grades three and under must be accompanied by an adult. There are other upcoming events for adults at the library this month, find more information on their website.
