A pair of former Southeast Iowa wrestlers competed in the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships over the weekend in Cedar Rapids with one becoming an All-American for Coe College.

Kohawk heavyweight wrestler and 2018 Sigourney graduate Kaleb Reeves showed out in his senior season on the mat and finished third in the nation. The 285 pounder went 5-1 at Alliant Energy PowerHouse including four pins coming in the first period and a 10-1 major decision. His second round loss proved to be his only defeat of the year by capping off the season with a 36-1 mark. His third place All-American showing was the best Kohawk finish out of six wrestlers. Tristin Westphal also competed for Coe and the 2019 Washington graduate lost in a pair of matches by 6-4 and 11-5 decisions. The 174 pound junior finished his winter ranked ninth and had a 19-7 record.

The Kohawks placed sixth as a team with 40 points while Wartburg won it all with 79.
