Action was tabled on a construction management agency fee proposal for possible relocation of county offices during the Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday.
The proposal from Carl A. Nelson & Co. was listed on the agenda, but County Auditor Dan Widmer shared that County Attorney John Gish who was unable to attend the meeting had some feedback, “He had some questions, some clarification that he was wondering about and would like to see so I would propose putting that on the back burner today and hopefully we’ll have it ready for board action next Tuesday.”
CAN’s proposal for the renovation of Orchard Hill Building #3 and any new construction required to relocate county offices including public health asks for a lump sum fee of $6,500 for the needs assessment/master plan phase which include two onsite meetings and a preliminary budget at the conclusion of the phase. It also includes a lump sum fee of $25,000 for the preconstruction phase which includes design review, budgeting, scheduling, and value engineering, and a construction management fee of 5%.
