Longtime Mid-Prairie Superintendent Mark Schneider announced his retirement earlier this month after 21 years of serving the district in that capacity. The district has started the process of looking for his replacement by partnering with Grundmeyer Leader Services on a survey. The survey is available on the Mid-Prairie district website and social media platforms. Those who participate are asked about their affiliation with the district, strengths and weaknesses of the district, and important traits and qualities in a future superintendent. The survey is available to the public through March 26th.
The district has also defined their search time table. They will be accepting applications March 15th through April 9th with the school board reviewing candidates the week of April 18th, narrowing that pool to semifinalists for board interviews the week of the 25th and finalist interviews conducted the week of May 2nd. Schneider’s last day with the district will be June 30th.
