Mid-Prairie senior Lilou Beachy penned the top solution at the State of Iowa Future Problem Solvers competition. Beachy, a senior, received first place in her division in the FPS scenario writing affiliate competition for Iowa with her story Home Grown, a response to a question regarding cohabitation of humans and insects. As the state champ, she will travel to the International Conference at the University of Massachusetts Amherst June 8th through the 12th where participants in grades four through 12 will tackle the topic of antibiotic resistance in their next competition.
