The all conference boys’ basketball teams for the Southeast Iowa Super Conference were flooded with Wolves, as the north division champs Winfield-Mt. Union had five players on the list. 

Cam Buffington and Abram Edwards were selected to the first team in the division. Buffington led the league in rebounds, field goals made, field goal percentage, and three point percentage. The 6’4’’ sophomore was second in the league with 19 points a game, averaged 10.2 rebounds a contest, shot 63% from the floor including 46% from long range, dished out 66 assists, 52 steals, and created 28 blocks. Edwards was a 6’6’’ nightmare inside creating a league best 49 blocks and second in rebounds with 219. The sophomore tallied 12 points and 9.1 boards a contest, had a 52% field goal efficiency, paced the team with 80 assists, and registered 37 steals. 

Jake Edwards was the lone second team selection for WMU. The freshman sharpshooter led the league with 44 made three pointers at a 36% clip while bringing in seven points a game. He recorded 71 assists and 32 steals in his debut season. Honorable mention selections included Konnor Wade and Carter Loyd. Wade averaged 5.8 points, shot 40% from the field, and had 36 assists. Loyd chipped in with five points an outing, had 23 assists, and 16 blocks. 

The five players helped the Wolves have the best defensive scoring average in the state regardless of class by surrendering just 34.5 points a night. Additionally, head coach Klay Edwards was named coach of the year in the north. The Wolves finished the winter with a 21-3 record and bring four of the five all conference selections back next year.
