The first and final indoor track meet of the season was Thursday for the Washington girls and several events cracked the top five at Central College in Pella. 

Grace Voss had the top individual performance placing second in the high jump with a leap of 4’8’’. The distance medley relay team of Lauren Horak, Amelia Dahl, Eden Levetzow, and Quincy Griffis finished runner-up in the 4000m race with a time of 14:55. Other top events included the 4x400m of Abigail Kleese, Kendall Hinrichsen, Isabella Lujan, and Voss placing third (4:54), 4x800m of Kleese, Lujan, Voss, and Griffis was third (11:21), and the 60m shuttle hurdle relay of Ella Greiner, Isabella Salazar, Colby Leyden, and Rachel Sands recorded fifth (35.58). 

The Demons open the outdoor season Tuesday, March 29th at West Burlington. The Washington boys start the campaign Thursday for their annual home meet.
