The all substate boys’ basketball teams were released by the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association with several Southeast Iowa players making the cut. 

In class 1A for substate 5, WACO’s Paul Kissell was named coach of the year while Winfield-Mt. Union’s sophomore Cam Buffington was on the team. Two Mid-Prairie players were on the class 2A substate 6 team including Carter Harmsen and Jack Pennington. Daren Lambert was named coach of the year for their 24-1 campaign. Washington had a pair of players recognized in class 3A substate 4 with Kasen Bailey and Ethan Patterson on the list.
