With the impending retirement of longtime Superintendent Mark Schneider, the Mid-Prairie School Board used their last meeting to further specify the blueprint for their search process. School Board President Jeremy Pickard updated the rest of the board on the status of the search using Grundmeyer Leader Services (GLS) . The GLS survey is still available for those in the district through their webpage until March 26th. HR Coordinator Carmela Ulin gave an update that four candidates have submitted applications. The application period closes April 9th.

The entire board will be involved in the review of all candidates and the selection of the smaller group of representatives to conduct stakeholder interviews. Board members Pickard, Marianne Schlabach and Denise Chittick were chosen to participate in the stakeholder group representing the board.

The board is planning to hold final interviews for the position the week of May 2nd. Schneider’s last day with the district is June 30th.
