A juvenile was arrested following reports of gunshots west of Washington Thursday night.

The Washington County Communications Center states at 9:24 p.m. they received a call from a resident at 2459 Kiwi Avenue claiming a vehicle pulled in front of their residence. They then heard what sounded like two or three gunshots, and the vehicle then left the area southbound. A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy located the vehicle at North 12th Avenue and East 2nd Street, and charges have been filed on one juvenile for person ineligible to carry a dangerous weapon, possession or purchase of alcohol by person under 18, assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, reckless use of a firearm, two counts of minor armed with a dangerous weapon, and second-degree harassment. The juvenile was picked up by Central Iowa Detention.
