The Liberty Lightning Co-ed meet was added to the schedule for the Columbus Community track teams and that was the stop for the Wildcats last night.
Competing in just a handful of events, the Wildcat boys posted 36 points. It was another first place long jump showing for Kaden Amigon by besting the field with a leap of 20’4.5’’. The 4x800m relay also won in 8:54 with this team consisting of Tyler Humiston, Freddy Vergara, Damian Vergara, and Isaac Acosta. Russell Coil was fourth in the shot put (39’8.5’’) and the 4x100m was fourth (46.70). The Columbus girls put up 46 points with 14 individuals competing. Lily Coil had a productive day placing second in the long jump (15’4.75’’) and third in the 100m hurdles (18.57). Ariana Vergara was fourth in the 400m hurdles (1:23).
