The Mid-Prairie golf teams jumped back into River Valley Conference action Monday with duals against the West Branch Bears. The Golden Hawk girls took care of business in Kalona, beating the Bears 211-219. Madi Davidson led the Mid-Prairie girls in their win, finishing as medalist runner-up with a round of 50. Other Mid-Prairie scores included Gabi Robertson 51, Elliott Debler and Alexa Huber each shot 55, Madelyn Bender 56 and Madison Witthoft 68.
The Mid-Prairie boys were beaten by the Bears on the road 151-218. West Branch swept the individual awards with Brady Knoop firing a 35 for medalist honors and Dylan Countryman medalist runner-up with a 37. The Golden Hawks were led by Warran Scarff’s 46 to go along with a 50 from Drew Schlabaugh 53 from Ben Mattes and 69 from Carson Pence. The Golden Hawk boys and girls are off until Monday when they face Tipton in RVC duals.
