It was the start of the golf campaign for a few KCII area schools at Twin Lakes Golf Course on Monday with Winfield-Mt. Union taking care of Lone Tree. 

The WMU boys won the opening nine-hole meet by a 190-256 final tally. Nick Crow was meet-medalist with a 43 and Carter Loyd was runner-up with a 46. Andrew Brown carded a 48, Isaac Schurr 53, Jake Edwards 54, and Griffin Humphreys 56. The Lions had their top score come from Joe Boxwell with 56. Sebastian Jacque finished with 65, Dominic Graap 67, Adam Knock 68, Oliver Altenhofen 74, and Kyle Zaruba 78. The Lone Tree girls did not post a team score, but the Wolves won with a 255. Ava Hagge had a medalist round of 56 and Isabel Kann shot a 64. Alli Humphreys managed a 67, Chloe Fisher 68, Afton Wilkerson 68, and Lily Freeman 74. The lone Lion score came from Kylie Patterson with a 59.
