The good times continued to roll for the Washington girls’ soccer team on Monday when they welcomed Oskaloosa for a non-conference matchup and the Demons stayed unbeaten with a 4-1 triumph.
The orange and black found the back of the net three times in the opening half and added one more in the second that was more than enough for the victory. Fresh off of a hat trick last week, Giselle Marcelino followed that up with two goals against the Indians and Greta Rothe had the other two scores. Through three games, the duo have combined for 11 of the team’s 13 goals with Rothe recording six and Marcelino with five. In Monday’s win, Elyse Hunt tallied four saves in the net.
Washington improves to 3-0 and they are back home tomorrow against Mount Pleasant in a boy/girl doubleheader.
