It’s an all-KCII area battle tonight in Riverside when the Hillcrest Ravens visit the Highland Huskies for a Southeast Iowa Superconference soccer match. Hillcrest comes in at 0-1 on the year after a tough loss late Tuesday at Tipton 4-3. The Ravens were led by Diego Ramos with two goals, a tally and an assist from Jorge Canchola and seven saves from keeper Aiden Krabill. Highland is 0-2 this year with losses to Washington and Sigourney-Keota by a combined 18-1 score. In their last match Monday against the Cobras, the Huskies were beaten 4-1. Ayden Havel had the lone Highland goal, Luke Guseman supplied the assist and keeper Eli Slaymaker had seven saves. Hillcrest has won 12 of the last 15 matches in the series against the Huskies, including four straight and last year’s matchup by a 5-2 score. Action gets underway tonight at 5p.m. at Highland High School.
